Bungou Stray Dogs Season 4 Will Air In January 2023, Trailer Released

During the Crunchyroll Expo 2022, it was revealed that Bungou Stray Dogs season 4 will air in January 2023. Bungou Stray Dogs season 4 also revealed a new trailer and promotional image during the Crunchyroll event.

Just like the previous seasons, Bungou Stray Dogs season 4 will be animated by Studio Bones. The president of Studio Bones, Masahiko Minami and Kadokawa’s producer Chiaki Kurakane were also present during the announcement. They praised Kafka Asagiri (author of the series) for his dedication and involvement in the anime production. They also praised Nobuhiro Arai for his character design which played an important role in bringing the characters to life.

A new key visual named “international visual” was released for overseas fans, penned by the character designer Nobuhiro Arai.

Bungou Stray Dogs season 4

Bungou Stray Dogs anime is based on the manga of the same name, written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa, who began publishing the manga in Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine in December 2012. The manga series has been compiled into 22 volumes so far.

Bungo Stray Dogs Season 4 Release Date

Bungo Stray Dogs season 4 is scheduled to release in January 2023; however, the exact release day for season 4 will be announced later. Crunchyroll will be streaming the 4th season for worldwide fans.

Studio Bones picked up the manga for an anime adaptation. Bungou Stray Dogs has a total of 36 episodes released between 3 seasons. A film titled Bungou Stray Dogs: Dead Apple was released in March 2018. The fourth season was announced in November 2021.

Yen Press describes the plot as follows:

Having been kicked out of the orphanage, a despairing young man by the name of Atsushi Nakajima rescues a strange man from a suicide attempt–Osamu Dazai. Turns out that Dazai is part of an armed-detective agency staffed by individuals whose supernatural powers take on a literary bent!
