Demon Slayer: This Tanjiro Figure Is A Stuff of Nightmares

On one hand, we are getting spectacular anime figures like Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan, and on the other hand, we have this Tanjiro figurine, which looks really bad.

This figure is currently being sold in Mexico on Mercado Libre platform, which is a market where anyone can sell anything. Tanjiro figure has a height of 280 mm, and it is currently being sold at 394 Mexican Pesos (which is around $18 US). This figure has gone viral, especially in the Mexican anime community where people are criticizing the bad craftsmanship.

Even at the first glance, you can notice that there is so much wrong with this figure. The katanas are curved, and Tanjiro’s eyes are going in a different direction from each other. The body proportion isn’t normal, and the wooden box is too much above his shoulders, but the vendor seems to have so much confidence in his product.

In the product description, vendor writes “We are market leaders, you can buy with confidence”. According to the product description: “The product is of excellent quality, so you can play with it without fear of it falling or breaking.”

If only Tanjiro’s figure is not enough for you to buy this product, there is also smol Nezuko that comes with the package. Although, Nezuko doesn’t look like how she is supposed to, there is not much wrong with her.

Some of the comments on product description include “Why is Tanjiro scared?”, “Who did so much damage to the figure?”, “Well, at least he’s honest and puts up the real photos”.

Crunchryoll describes Demon Slayer anime series as follows:

It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself. Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family
