Dandadan fans finally have their first look at the wild chaos awaiting them in Season 2, and it looks like the stakes are getting a serious upgrade. The newly released trailer doesn’t waste a second, diving right back into the series’ signature blend of supernatural madness, action, and comedy, and teasing some unsettling new enemies along the way.

The new trailer kicks off by introducing a mysterious new antagonist already dubbed by fans as the “creepy man” thanks to his distinctive, and unsettling, character design. His first chilling words in the trailer, “I finally got a body,” immediately set a darker tone for the new season.
Moments later, he launches a direct attack on Okarun (Ken Takakura), suggesting that possession, body-snatching, or some kind of parasitic takeover could become a major theme. With Okarun only just getting control over his powers by the end of Season 1, this new enemy threatens to undo everything he fought for, and possibly even worse.
After a strong first season animated by Science SARU, which aired in late 2024 across Crunchyroll and Netflix, anticipation for the next chapter of Yukinobu Tatsu’s hit series has only grown.
Based on the manga that first debuted in April 2021 and currently stands at 19 volumes, Dandadan has built a reputation for its unpredictable storytelling, switching between hilarious, heartfelt, and downright terrifying moments without missing a beat.
For those who need a quick refresher, Season 1 wrapped up with the gang dealing with a powerful yokai in Jiji’s hometown. That arc explored Jiji’s traumatic past and deepened his character beyond the usual comic relief role. Along the way, Okarun and Jiji discovered mysterious talismans underground, hinting at an even bigger supernatural mystery on the horizon.
The finale wasn’t a massive cliffhanger, but it clearly paved the way for larger threats, and left fans eager to see what challenges would come next. Jiji’s full integration into the group, the continuing quest to recover Okarun’s “missing parts,” and the hints at deeper yokai lore all set the stage perfectly for Season 2.
