Just last week, My Hero Academia author, Horikoshi pulled off the daring move of seemingly killing Bakugo! This week’s chapter is fast approaching and spoilers that are out seem to be pointing to the young hero actually surviving this fatal blow! But how will he do it? And at what cost…?
As usual, we have all the answers and everything else you’ve got to know about this week’s upcoming chapter and more just below! So without wasting any time, let’s get right into it!
Chapter 363 Recap
Before we jump into spoilers for chapter 364 let’s recap what went down in the most recent chapter of the series, titled, ‘Protectors and Invaders.’ Be sure to read the chapter yourself; you can find it for free and officially down below!
The chapter begins exactly where 362 left off, with Bakugo seemingly getting dealt with the killing blow. As we see in the opening pages of 363 the young student’s heart appears to have taken some severe damage and many of his allies are worried for him. Especially Best Jeanist, who announces that Bakugo has no pulse, his heart is ripped to shreds.
Shigaraki taunts the heroes surrounding him as he puts the blame of Bakugo’s s supposed death on them. Because of all the responsibility they placed on him, this was the outcome. Although his last comment was aimed explicitly at Eraserhead, his words cause Mirko to jump in and attempt to attack the villain. However, before we get to see further into that battle we jump over to Dabi’s “cage” where he had seemingly already been defeated. But that doesn’t seem to be the case as the deranged villain walks out of the fire with Todoroki’s new powerful move copied and ready for him to use.
Meanwhile, other villains apart of AFO’s team continue on with their original plans. Skeptic manages to hack back into the UA system and shut down their control room. Whilst AFO spies within the UA school safehouse all get a mysterious call before making a darkened face, whatever is being asked of them can’t be good. And lastly to finish the chapter off All for One appears finally with his mask down, but instead of the withered nearly dead body, we’ve come to accept we see AFO in what looks to be his prime.
Clearly, it’s not just the heroes who have had time to plan this final battle out, and now after finally getting their bearings right, it’s the villains’ turn to attack back! Oh, and if you’re wondering Deku is still flying his way over. This chapter raises a lot of questions as to what the villain’s plan is and what’s happening so without further ado let’s answer those questions with the chapter 364 spoilers!
Chapter 364 Spoilers
Now that we are all caught up let’s dive right into chapter 364. Warning, however, some raws for the upcoming chapter are already out so there are confirmed spoilers below; you have been warned.
The chapter starts us off with more interesting revelations from one Doctor Garaki as he begins to explain what was done with the bullets Overhaul had with him. The quirk erasing bullets that were infused with Eri’s DNA and reversal quirk. The mad scientist quickly explains that using those bullets he was able to extract Eri’s quirk and hand it over to All for One. Cutting back to AFO vs Endeavor and the other pro heroes we now understand why exactly AFO looks as if he is back in his prime days.
Just as Tokoyami is quick to suspect AFO has used the reversal quirk on himself to reverse his disease and aging, in a way bringing him back to his “glory days.” The villain goes on to tell Endeavor that he should be happy, he managed to force him to bring out his final trump card. No matter the outcome of this battle it doesn’t matter to AFO because as he says himself, he will be reborn into the body of Shigaraki Tomura, his current shell will disappear either way. Before it does however the villain wants to kill as many heroes as possible!
Following this, we get a brief shot of the American government discussing multiple ways to deal with Shigaraki. One such way is to prove that he can trust them so that their country and citizens can be spared from the villain’s attempted killing spree.
Speaking of killing, we jump right to Shigaraki’s “cage” where he has just seemingly killed Bakugo. With his heart almost completely blown out, the heroes can’t do much to save Bakugo but one hero is ready to try. After asking Mirko to cover for him the pro-hero Edgeshot attempts to save Bakugo using his quirk. Edgeshot’s quirk allows him to turn his body into an extremely thin and long razor-sharp string. Using this ability he begins to put pieces of his body into Bakugo’s heart in an attempt to keep what remained of the organ together, but as Jeanist comments, it isn’t working.
Edgeshot realizes this as well and tells Best Jeanist that’s why he’ll have to leave the rest of the process to him. And with that the hero uses his technique to its furthest point, sacrificing his body so that Jeanist can rearrange it as a heart for the fallen young hero.
From the leaks we have access to so far the chapter ends there so it’s currently unsure whether or not the process turns out to work or not. However, seeing as how Edgeshot quite literally gave away his life for this procedure I’m assuming it will turn out to be successful and Bakugo will come back hopefully more powerful than ever. Now being pushed forward by the fact that a top-ranking pro hero gave away his life for Bakugo to live his.
