With the epilogue continuation, My Hero Academia Chapter 429 spoilers have arrived, and the end is closer than ever.
The aftermath of AFO and Shigaraki finally ended, and everyone has returned to their normal lives, or at least it seems.
While the series is truly near its completion, there are multiple things to be done yet by our beloved characters.

The chapter continues to reveal the mysterious figure, whose quirk was a mutation. After his family learned about his quirk, they started to treat him nicely, until they grew impatient and locked him underground.
His mouth was tied up so he couldn’t speak. Some years later, his family was baffled over the country’s state, and they threw him some bed to eat. However, this was their last interaction.
A few moments later, an explosion destroyed half of the underground which allowed the figure to leave. Since he had not seen the sunlight in years, it hurt him and he did not know where to go.
He was alone and scared for all of his life, but when he saw people smiling and working together, he questioned his reality. Now, back to the present, Uraraka remembers Toga’s final words and cries as she believes she’s alive only because of her death until Deku arrives.

She covers her tears by asking Deku how he got there. He replies that he used One For All. Deku remembers this is the same place where they had the special talk, allowing him to find Ochacko.
She says that she does not want to be seen, and Deku tells her that he knows she has been acting weird for a long time since she started prioritizing others over herself. As Deku says this, he also starts to cry.
Uraraka tells Deku that he is her hero, and she does not want to rely on his strength forever. To comfort her, Deku gives her his hand, and when Uraraka grabs it, she cries even harder.
She continues to blame herself for Toga’s death, but Deku cannot do anything except see her cry her heart out. Deku realizes the consequences of this war will be compared to the previous one, and AFO warns him about this thorny path as well.

Suddenly, all of the other classmates arrive at the scene. Tsuyu hugs her and Bakugou asks Deku if the embers are still there since he used OFA. Deku says they are, and everyone asks why he didn’t tell them about the embers to begin with.
Deku says that OFA was completed through the heroism of many people, and we all should create something together as well. Now, with everyone returning to their normal lives, one of the statues at U.A has been replaced by Monoma and he’s bragging about it.
Meanwhile, Eri sings at Aoyama’s farewell party. Now, All Might tells Hawks his idea to expand the billboard since many people who aren’t heroes, helped in the war.
Back to the mysterious character, he continues to question himself why only he has to suffer. As soon as black stuff starts to seep from his fingers, the woman from Tenko’s flashback holds his hand and calls him “sonny.”

Suddenly, the mysterious character starts to cry as he watches the lady smile, and Deku and Uraraka watch them from afar.
The chapter ends with Hawks’ quote, “A society where heroes have too much spare time.”
No break next week, and finally, the final chapter of the series will arrive next week! My Hero Academia Chapter 429 is set to be released on 28th July 2024.
