The press release has confirmed the production of anime series “The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious”. It was also announced that the series will start airing in Japan in July 2022. It is still unknown whether this romantic comedy series will be available on Crunchyroll or Netflix.

Synopsis
The story revolves around the maid, Lilith, who has been hired to look after the employer’s son, Yuuri. However, Yuuri believes that his maid is plotting something behind his back, which keeps him on edge as she suspects trickery from the maid. Despite her paranoia, Lilith grows fond of Yurri and often teases him to further her relationship.
Voice Cast
The main cast of the series has been announced:
- Yuuri will be voiced by Saori Hayami (previous roles include Shinobu “Demon Slayer”, Yukino “Oregairu”, and Shouko “Your lie in April”)
- Lilith will be voiced by Rie Takahashi (previous roles include Emilia “Re Zero”, Sumi “Rent a girlfriend’, and Megumin)
Staff
Silver Bank and Blade studio are in charge of production, Misuzu Hoshino will be directing the series (their previous work include “Jahy Sama will not be defeated”, and “Ousama Game The Animation”). Yoshino Machi is in charge of character design and animation direction.
If you felt like you have seen similar characters before in another anime, you are not wrong. This series is written by Konbu, who is also the author of Jahy Sama Will Not Be Defeated. Konbu began publishing the manga in Square Enix ‘s Gangan Joker magazine in January 2020. The series has been collected into 5 volumes, and the manga series is still ongoing. Due to the series having a monthly release schedule, there are only 29 English translated chapters available to read.
