It’s been a tough week for anime fans as two of this season’s top anime have been delayed. First, it was Hell’s Paradise, whose episode 9 had been delayed to June 3rd. And now today, Oshi no Ko has been delayed for one week.
The news couldn’t come at a worse time, mainly due to the suspense the previous episodes have evoked. The series has progressed very nicely, and viewership has steadily increased, and for good reason too.
The previous two episodes were focused on Akane who became a victim of toxic cyber bullying and wanted to end her life. Luckily, Aqau appeared just in time to save her from jumping off of a bridge.
Episode 7 was about Akane’s colleagues from the dating show trying to fix Akane’s image. Alongside Aqua, the crew decided to make a video that showed some unaired footage from the show which showed Akane in a good spotlight.
Oshi no Ko episode 8 is scheduled to release on June 7, 2023. A special program will be aired on May 31. The official website or Twitter account has not revealed why the episode has been delayed.

The anime is based on the manga of the same name, written and drawn by Aka Akasaka. The mangaka is also known for Kaguya Sama: Love Is War manga series. Aka Akasaka retired as an illustrator; however, he is still working on a new manga series.
