Rent A Girlfriend season 2 finale just aired, and fans did not have to wait long for the confirmation of season 3. The announcement of a third season of the anime adaptation of the Rent a Girlfriend manga, written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima, was confirmed following the broadcast of the second season’s final episode.
An announcement video for Rent a Girlfriend season 3 has been revealed.
The official website or the Twitter account of the anime adaptation has not confirmed a release date for Rent a Girlfriend season 3, but a release date is expected to be announced in March 2023, during a special event which will be held in Japan.
A 12-episode anime series usually takes 12 to 18 months from production to voice acting filming. On that basis, fans could expect Rent a Girlfriend season 3 to be released around January 2024.

Kanna Hirayama, the project’s character designer and animation director, also provided a special illustration to commemorate the broadcast of the twelfth and final episode of the second season.

Reiji Miyajima, the manga’s author, also released an illustration to commemorate the production of the third season.
TMS Entertainment picked up the manga for an anime adaptation. In July 2017, Reiji Miyajima began publishing the Rent a Girlfriend manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. The second season aired during the Summer-2022 season (July-September) and consisted of twelve episodes, with the Crunchyroll platform handling distribution.
