What Happened In Chapter 170

Chapter 170 kicks off right about where chapter 169 ended with hunter Sung Jin-Woo realizing that all the enemy troops had entered through the portal furthest for him, the portal in Canada. Chapter 169 also ended on a cliffhanger with a beam of light being shot at Adam White who was speaking with Sung Jin-Woo at the time.
As chapter 170 showed Adam is not dead, luckily he was saved by the shadow soldier assigned to him. However, since that shadow soldier is now dead our hero has no way of getting to Canada through shadow exchange. Realizing this Sung Jin-Woo goes to the second closest shadow and devises a plan, exchanging with the shadow stationed in the American headquarters for Federal Bureau of Hunter’s.
There he cashes in two favors with the drunken Director who is watching the news unfold in Canada. When noticing Sung Jin-Woo the director sobers up and fulfills both his favors. The first one is to hand over Kamishe’s rune stones and the second, to set up a quick appointment with Norma Selner.
At Norma’s mansion, she glances at Sung Jin-Woo’s future, at his request, and sees something. She starts crying as she asks if Jin-Woo really intends to take everything on himself, to which he responds a simple thank you as he teleports out. After a quick phone call with Cha Hae-In, Jin-Woo makes his presence noticeable. Due to this the Dragon Monarch quickly pinpoints his location and asks how long he plans to hide. Ending this exhilarating chapter, and kicking off what looks to be an exciting war arc.
