Before the start of season 2 of The Promised Neverland, it was announced that second season will include original scenarios written by the author. Rumour is that author was not satisfied with the pacing in the manga and wanted to include original scenes in the anime.

In Episode 4, these original scenarios are added and it takes a very different route from the manga. Isabella introduction was not to happened so soon and there was a major character in the manga, who was supposed to be introduced in episode 4 instead of Isabella.

Minor Spoilers Ahead

Before going any further, I should warn you that there might be slight spoilers ahead. All the manga fans are asking the same question. Where is Yuugo? He was one of the major character of the current arc and was expected to be the first man to meet Emma and the company.

Before the armed men attack, there was a very cool arc revolving around Yuugo and the kids. Manga fans are still hopeful that “Mister” will be introduced in some other way but if the manga takes a completely different route, it is possible that Author might skip a huge part of the manga.

The Promised Neverland is a manga series written by Kaiu Shirai and illustrated by Posuka Demizu. The Promised Neverland anime series was produced by Studio Clover which premiered in January 2019 and had 12 episodes. Second season of the anime started premiering in January 2021.

  1. I hope they would just add an extra chapter at the ending. Like don’t change anything besides adding another extra in the anime, so that the ending in the manga is continued. All of the manga’s content was very nice, except for the ending which is a cliff hanger

  2. Please include Yugo in the anime adaption โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Šand donโ€™t skip major parts I think it will ruin the anime if it ever happen!!!….๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ˜”
