Tokyo Ghoul Fans Want Anime Reboot From Mappa And Ufotable

The amazing animation of Demon Slayer and Attack on Titan has recently won the hearts of many. Seeing the quality of production, Tokyo Ghoul has been recently trending on Twitter, where fans have expressed their desire for an anime reboot.

A solid anime adaptation can make or break the franchise. Although the story of the manga does matter a lot, but at the end it all depends on how good the quality of the animation is. Tokyo Ghoul manga is well known in the Otaku community as one of the best manga series, which did not get the anime adaptation it deserved.

Studio Ufotable has been praised a lot for the Demon Slayer animation, and Mappa studio is probably the most popular anime studio right now, known for Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan final season, and upcoming Chainsaw Man. Tokyo Ghoul fans took to Twitter demanding an anime reboot from Mappa or Ufotable.

Some Tokyo Ghoul fans have already created a petition to Mappa to reboot Tokyo Ghoul. “As we all know the Tokyo ghoul manga is great, one of the best of all time but the anime wasn’t as good. I hope that we can ask Mappa to reanimate this great story and keep it to the original material.

The Tokyo Ghoul anime is based on a manga series of the same name, written and drawn by Sui Ishida. The author started the manga in Weekly Young Jump magazine in Sept 2011. The manga series ended after 3 years, and all the manga chapters are collected in 14 volumes.

Studio Pierrot picked up the manga for anime adaptation. A 12 episode anime aired on Sept 2014, followed by a 12 episode 2nd season, which aired in 2015, having an original story.
