On the Oscar event, world witness a shocking scene when the worldwide renowned actor, Will Smith slapped a fellow comedian, Chris Rock.
Chris Rock was on the stage at Oscars to present Best Documentary, and as a stand-up comedian, he joked about Jada Pinkett’s hair cut, saying he was looking forward to seeing her in G.I. Jane II (referring to Demi Moore’s buzzcut in the 1997 film G.I. Jane). Keep in mind that Jada Smith has been opened up about her struggle with the loss of hair due to alopecia.
Jada Smith was not happy after hearing the Joke, and rolled her eyes. Will Smith could be seen laughing at the joke, however, after a moment, he walked to the stage and slapped Rock. Smith then walked back to his seat, and said “Keep my wife’s name out of your fu-king mouth”.
Later in the evening, Smith won the Oscar for his portrayal of Richard Williams in King Richard. In his acceptance speech, Smith apologized to the Academy and his fellow nominees. The moment set the Twitter on Fire, and anime fans were quick to react with memes.
