On October 16th, the popular anime “Pokemon Ultimate Journeys” aired its 136th episode. Following the broadcast, it was revealed that a new Pokemon series with a different main character would begin airing in April 2023.
Ash and Pikachu’s journey began in 1997, and 25 years later, Ash achieved his dream of becoming a true Pokemon master. Now that there is nothing left for Ash and Pikachu, fans were wondering what’s next for the Pokemon anime.
It was announced that the final episode of Pokemon Ultimate Journeys will be broadcasted on January 13, 2022. The new series will feature the main characters Liko (girl), and Roy (boy) who will have new dreams and adventures set in the Pokemon world. Their journey will begin with the help of starter pocket monsters from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Liko and Roy will encounter not only the Paldean Starter Pokemon Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, but also a Shiny Rayquaza in the region.
To commemorate Ash’s 25-year journey, a special episode will be broadcasted on December 23, 2022. The announcement of the new main characters is surprising to many fans who seemed to believe that Ash will continue his journey a little bit longer. However, it is possible that Ash and Pikachu will have some sort of role in the new Pokemon series. Maybe mentoring the new main characters. Little cameos here and there will be enough for Ash’s fans.

As a pokemon fan for so many yrs and rather got very excited about ash becoming the world champion, i don’t think that the coming of new characters in pokemon will make it hit becoz for so many yrs ash being the main protagonist, was everyones love and his story was a hit. So i dont want the coming of new characters and want my ash baaacccckkkk!!!!!!!

Why just keep him and pickachu as the main characters and just add new characters as his side characters and the new Pokémon as they join the team
No will not watch anymore without them they take away the rest of the Pokémon bulbasuar charmander squirtle and the rest of they transformations will lose a lot of fans with this news

I hope Pokémon goes back through all of the regions and gives us new stories (like Pokémon rangers defeating each regions crime group or an MC traveling with the goal of being the Pokémon contest champ instead of the MC being an incompetent that still sends his electric Pokémon out to thunderbolt a ground type) with new characters that meet all of Ash’s traveling companions.
Would also love it if there were a brother sister duo (like May and Max) as MCs to show the world how siblings could care for each other, especially with one being older than the other.
(To this day no one understands why 10 year olds are allowed to literally free roam the world.)

Ash will continue in the new season with the new characters and will travel with them like all the other characters did with ash. This is what I think. Ash will never end.
I won’t watch Pokemon if there isn’t Ash. I know it’s just a anime but I’ve been watching his journey from my childhood like Doraemon without Nobita and Doraemon meaningless, Pokemon will be meaningless for me. I want Ash and Pikachu to be the main character 🥺 and continue their journey.
