Mappa Stage 2023 revealed the Attack on Titan final season final chapter key visual. The key visual is quite different from what Attack on Titan fans are used to.
Instead of featuring many of the main characters like previous key visuals, this one features no characters. However, if you look closely, you can see the shadows of two Titans.
Attack on Titan anime director Yuichior Hayashi recently revealed why he decided to pick a minimalistic key visual, which is likely to be the last key visual of the Attack on Titan franchise.
According to the director, showing nothing in the picture makes viewers use their imagination. He shared that he wants the viewers to think more and guess what the key visual could be about.
Mappa’s official shared a message from the director:
With the release of the key visual for the sequel to the final part, the Attack on Titan anime is steadily pushing towards its final act. However, the work is still in the middle, so I don’t feel like I’m done at all. Will the end really come?
As for the key visual, I think this will be the final visual for The Final Season. It may come as a surprise to you that it’s going in the exact opposite direction of the character piles up until now, but I’ve decided to go with a simple route for the last for a long time.
I think that there is something that appeals to the imagination as much as there is nothing. There are some things that are interesting, but it’s unsophisticated to explain, and it will be a spoiler, so I hope you can expand your imagination and look forward to the final part.

Having a “No Character” visual is a refreshing twist. Many fans were hoping for something big like showing Eren’s Rumbling Titan. But that could have been too expected.

Attack on Titan anime is set to come back one last time this Fall. Mappa Studio hasn’t yet announced how many episodes the final’s of the final season will have.
