But, one Holy Knight named “Roxy” helps Fate against such abuse. Fate also tries his best not to stand in her way.
One day, Fate spots some thieves, so he informs Roxy immediately. As he is standing, one thief comes his way, pretty injured.
He musters up courage and attacks the thief, taking him down. Suddenly, his “Gluttony” skill activates, giving him all the stats and skills the thief had. He realizes that this power has a lot of potential to start with.
Upon doing such a splendid job taking down a thief, Roxy offers Fate a job in the Hart family. He accepts and is now looking for a weapon.
He goes to the market and is ashamed as he has enough money to buy a scrap sword.
So, using his skills, he screens out the best one. This sword talks to him and tells Fate to buy him. Fate does this, and they go to the fields for training.
There, Fate’s skills and stats skyrocket as whatever he kills, he gains its skill points.
Greed assures him that he will never leave his side, so he is not alone anymore. They later venture into an abandoned area where Fate wants to rescue a little girl from abuse.
