Blue Lock fans were eagerly waiting for an anime announcement and finally we have the official confirmation. Blue Lock anime has been announced for 2022.
Blue Lock is a Japanese manga series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine since August 2018. Blue Lock also won the Kodansha manga award in shonen category.
Plot
Blue Lock follows the story of a young boy Yoichi Isagi, who has been invited to a mysterious soccer training program to discover and cultivate “the worlds’ greatest egotist striker.” Blue Lock series takes its inspiration from the very real weaknesses of the Japanese national soccer team, and turns the beautiful soccer game into a battle royale by pitting 300 strikers against each other.
