The world of soccer is about to get more exciting as the spin-off movie of the popular manga and anime series “Blue Lock” is set to hit theaters in Spring 2024.
Titled “Blue Lock – EPISODE Nagi: The Movie.” the film’s teaser trailer and key visual has been unveiled, promising an exhilarating experience for fans.
The special trailer rewinds the battles depicted in the TV series, leading to high school scenes where Nagi and Reiō first meet. The narration includes lines from the characters, such as “My life was filled with boredom until I met him in the ‘blue lock.'”
The “Blue Lock – EPISODE Nagi” movie is adapting the spin-off manga of the same name that is a serialized work in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine (Kodansha).
It focuses on the character Nagi Seishiro, exploring his life before he meets Isagi, his entrance into soccer, and his journey through the first election. The story will highlight Nagi’s point of view in his games against various characters like Niko, Barou, and the Wanima Twins.
The teaser visual captures Nagi and Reiō Mikage in their TEAM kits during the first selection, staring straight ahead.
When Blue Lock Spin-off Will Arrive Outside of Japan?
Directed by Ishikawa Shunsuke and scripted by Kishimoto Taku, the film is supervised by the original creator, Kinjō Muneyuki. Studio Eight Bit is returning for the animation, with music provided by Murayama Jun.
