A few days ago, exciting news emerged from Pierrot Studio, sending fans of Naruto and Boruto into a frenzy. As the first part of the Boruto anime draws to a close, fans can now rest easy knowing that part two is already in production. The chapter reportedly bears the title “Almighty” or “Omnipotent,” with a wounded Boruto gracing the front cover. The story picks up with the search for Kawaki, and Shikamaru deploys a team of shinobi to scour the region. The hunt for Kawaki is made more challenging as he keeps erasing his chakra signature, leading Boruto to ask Sarada to join Mitsuki, fearing that he may be targeted.
Exhausted from constantly erasing his chakra, Kawaki is momentarily located by Eida, who uses her Senrigan to track him down. Eida tells Kawaki that she is on his side, but he starts ranting about replacing Boruto and how he wants Boruto to become the group’s outsider. Eida then showcases her powers, using the power of an almighty god to rewrite history, reversing the events of Boruto and Kawaki’s lives up until that point.
The spell leaves Boruto as the enemy of Konoha, who killed Naruto, while Kawaki becomes “Kawaki Uzumaki,” the true son of Naruto, born, raised, and trained in Konoha. Mitsuki immediately attacks Boruto, while Sarada momentarily appears unaffected by the spell.
As the chapter ends, the side-text ominously reads, “Two paths rewritten by the power of a ‘God.’ A pure wish soon becomes a reality.”
