On Sept 24, during the Aniplex Online Fest 2022, it was announced that Rascal does not dream of bunny girl senpai will be getting a sequel anime.
The next two volumes of the original light novel series will be adapted into animation, and studio CloverWorks will be animating the upcoming sequel, for which the release date is yet to be announced. A teaser trailer has been released.
The new project will adapt the light novels Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out, and Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid for the anime’s next two arcs. These two novels are the 8th and 9th volume of the series.

After a draining December, Sakuta is quickly nearing the end of his second year of high school. A new key visual has been revealed for the upcoming sequel during a special program attended by the cast and the author of the series.
Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai anime is based on the Japanese light novel series of the same name, written and illustrated by Hajime Kamoshida, who began serialisation in April 2014 and is currently ongoing, with 11 volumes released to date. Tsugumi Nanamiya adapted the light novels into a manga that ran from December 2015 to 2018.
Studio CloverWorks picked up the light novels for an anime adaptation of 13 episodes. The series was also adapted into an anime film titled Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl, which was released in 2019.
