Chapter 337 Recap
Before we jump into spoilers for chapter 338 let’s do a quick recap of what went down in the most recent chapter of the series.
Chapter 337, titled, ‘A Disposable Life’ is the chapter that exposes the true UA traitor, kicks off with Dabi and AFO talking about his latest statement about friends. Dabi asks that if their little friend gets exposed, won’t that cause trouble for them to which AFO replies that their “friend” is nothing but a tool.
With that, we jump back to UA where Deku and Aoyama have come face to face. Aoyama begins to think about his past and has a quick flashback where he recalls his past life and how his parents tried every outlet they could to get him a quirk, before eventually turning to the villain. This also brings back memories of AFO forcing and manipulating the wannabe hero into leaking him all the info he needed.
Once he recalls these memories Aoyama remembers how hopeless he is and shoots off a Naval Laser at Deku, before he can react Hagakure jumps in and refracts the light, saving the day. However, since the light is so strong her face gets revealed for a moment and we can see her crying as she berates Aoyama for the attack he just shot out.
After this Aoyama and his parents are immediately restrained and brought back to the school to be questioned. The 1-A class also sees this alongside All Might as they watch their once friend and begin to cry. After hearing his story Deku yells out that Aoyama can still be a hero after all he didn’t do this willingly and tried to warn others. The final panel shows Deku reaching out to Aoyama claiming that he can still become a hero.
Chapter 338 Spoiler
Now that we are all caught up, let’s dive right into chapter 338’s spoilers. Warning, however, some raws for the upcoming chapter are already out so there are confirmed spoilers below, you have been warned.
The spoilers for the upcoming chapter are all currently all over the place, though we do know some details. Not enough to give a full breakdown of this chapter but enough to give us a rough idea of what goes down.
- Aoyama gets locked up and has his mouth muzzled
- The students watch sad and disgusted
- Deku stands up for Aoyama and explains his story
- Full page panel of the class angry for what AFO did to Aoyama and his family
- Bakugo jokes about still blowing Aoyama up once or twice
- Aizawa who is awake and has been watching this go down via a tablet of sorts asks Deku if he has a plan
- Not currently having one Deku replies no
- Suddenly a door explodes open and Mei Hatsume lands on top of Deku

Release Date
My Hero Academia chapter 338 is currently scheduled to release, Sunday, December 19th, 2021. As of the writing of this article, there have been no announced delays to the upcoming chapter. Meaning that the official English release of MHA will stick to the schedule and release on Sunday as usual.
