After almost a decade of defining modern shonen anime, My Hero Academia is officially nearing its conclusion. The eighth and final season of the anime, titled My Hero Academia Final Season, is set to premiere in Fall 2025 (Oct-Dec), as confirmed during Jump Festa 2025.
The Final Season will adapt the manga’s final chapters, starting from Volume 40, and promises to resolve the series’ most significant conflicts. Central to this arc are the long-awaited climactic battles: Deku vs. Shigaraki and All Might vs. All For One.
A teaser visual, unveiled alongside the announcement, highlights the intense and emotional stakes of the concluding arcs, showcasing Deku and Shigaraki in their final confrontation.
While fans brace for the end of the main story, the upcoming anime adaptation of the spin-off manga My Hero Academia: Vigilantes (Vigilantes: My Hero Academia ILLEGALS) will provide additional content, airing in April 2025, just months before the main series reaches its finale.
Since its serialization began in July 2014, My Hero Academia has grown into one of the most celebrated and influential shonen franchises of the past decade. The manga, created by Kohei Horikoshi, concluded in August 2024, offering a bittersweet farewell to fans who have followed its story for ten years.
My Hero Academia animated by Studio Bones, first premiered in April 2016, with its subsequent seasons airing between 2017 and 2024.
