This year might be one of the most incredible years for anime fans with great animes already ongoing and a few lined up already this year. One of the most prominent animes of this season is Ao Ashi.
The story revolves around Ao Ashito, a third-year middle school student from Ehime who dreams of becoming a professional football player. Despite being exceptionally talented for his age, he couldn’t pursue his dreams because of his family’s financial problems.
Nevertheless, coach Fukuda from J1 league team Tokyo Esperion who was at one of Aoi’s games, realizes the massive potential inside him and calls him for a trial at Tokyo Esperion and what obstacles he might need to face before he achieves his dream.
Episode 18 Recap
In the previous episode, Aoi tried to adapt to his new position as a defender. After so many days of hard work and sheer perseverance to claim his spot in the starting lineup, the moment finally arrived when he got to show the results of his training.
Despite being unhappy with the current situation, Aoi is trying to give his 100% to the team. After practicing for many hours to improve his vision, he finally could use it in an actual match.
It resulted in a great assist which helped the team gain some additional points and increased the gap between them and relegation.
What can we expect in Ao Ashi Episode 19?
The upcoming episode is going to be very interesting since coach Fukuda would give Aoi the opportunity to play in the A team if he performs well in his upcoming match.
On the other hand, Tachibana, a good friend of Aoi, has decided not to play in the upcoming match as his confidence is declining, which could affect the team not to forget that the upcoming opponent is no other than Tachibana’s ex-team.

Aoi Ashi has been one of the most fan-favorite animes of the season, and fans are always eagerly waiting for the next episode.
The next episode was scheduled for August 13, 2022, at 6.25 pm JST on NHK Educational TV. Unfortunately, due to certain issues, the new episode is delayed by a week, and Aoi Ashi episode 19 will be released on August 20.
The episode will be made available on Crunchyroll for fans outside of Japan, 1 hour after the Japanese broadcast.
