[Delayed] Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 164 Spoilers, Release Date & Raw Scans

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga is preparing to go on a short break this week. Chapter 164 of the hit series was expected to be released this coming weekend, but has since been pushed back. The reason for this one-week delay has not been announced yet. However, we can assume it is due to the author, Gege Akutami’s health and well-being.

The author recently went on a much longer hiatus in June of 2021, returning around August time. And another hiatus before that in February, these hiatuses were due to the author’s declining health, which he has since recovered from. From the June to August hiatus, Akutami has been on a long string of continuous chapters. Therefore, it’s good to see him taking a well-deserved break.

Chapter 163 Recap

In the latest chapter, JJK of we got to see how Culling Games player, Rin Amai knows Yuji. As we get a quick flashback we see Rin with a group of bullies ganging up on a kid, as Rin explains his way of life for high school.

While watching the group gang up on someone he explains, just smile and go with the flow, the other guys won’t see you as a target, and sometimes good things will happen. It’s then that Itadori shows up (in middle school at the time) and tells the bullies to knock it off. In the next couple of panels, we get to see Itadori wiping the floor with the bullies. All while a frightened Rin watches.

Jumping back to the present, Itadori and Megumi are both being taken to meet Higuruma by their respective “guides”. Rin takes Itadori to a theatre of sorts whilst Remi takes Megumi to an apartment building. It turns out Remi is actually the traitor and took Megumi to her leader. Megumi tells them both to shut up as he prepares to fight, annoyed that Remi wasted his time.

Itadori on the other hand does find Higuruma, who is bathing in a tub with his clothes on, in the middle of the theatre stage?! Itadori asks Higuruma to use his points to remove the killing rule, to which Higuruma bluntly responds, no. And the two prepare to fight.

Chapter 164 Spoilers

As of the time of this article, there are currently no leaks or raws out for chapter 164. However, we do somewhat know what chapter 164 will be about thanks to the preview at the end of chapter 163. The preview states that chapter 164 will be a duel to the death, with points on the line!

This is most likely referring to the fight between Higuruma and Itadori, which 163 gave us a glimpse at. But it could also be alluring to Megumi vs Remi and her boss Reggie. Especially since Megumi did state that if Higuruma is not willing to share his points, he has no qualms about scoring 100 himself. Or in other words killing another Culling Games participant.

Chapter 164 Release Date

The new release date for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 164 is November 8th, Monday. I personally cannot wait for the next chapter so I know where I’ll be on November 8th.
