The Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has given us a lot of hit manga series, however, lately there is a trend from the manga authors to end the series while it is still popular. Some of the recent examples are Demon Slayer, Fire Force, and Chainsaw Man. Now, It looks like Dr Stone will be joining this list as well.
Riichiro Inagaki’s sci-fi-adventure manga series, Dr Stone is one of the most popular manga series right now, and in the past year, the author hinted that story could end any time because of the fast pacing of manga. According to a credible Twitter account, Manga Mogura, Dr Stone will reach its story climax in the next two chapters of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, which will be out on March 7 in Japan.
“Story Climax” is generally referred to a manga which is close to ending, but it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.
Dr Stone manga is written by Inagaki, and drawn by Bochi. They started publishing the manga in Shueisha Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 2017. The manga inspired a 24 episode anime adaptation produced by TMS Entertainment studios in July 2019. The 2nd season aired in Jan 2021, while season 3 is scheduled for 2023.
