It’s a well-known fact that 2022 was one of the best years for anime lovers, and one of last year’s headliners was Eminence in Shadow.
With about 400K+ viewers on MyAnimeList and much more unrecorded, this anime was one of the most popular of last year. So it didn’t come as a surprise to fans when it was renewed for another season.
The first season aired from Oct 5th to Feb 15th, 2022. The anime revolves around Minoru Kagenou who is obsessed with becoming strong and undergoing strenuous training.
From the outside, he seems like an average student, but at night he is a crowbar-wielding vigilante, fighting local biker gangs and criminals.
In classic Issekai fashion, he dies in a truck accident during one of his nightly patrols and is transported to another world, where magic is the norm.
He is reborn as Cid, a son of a noble family. He can finally achieve his dream of great strength in this world, and he forms a group called Shadow Of Gardens, whose main goal is to eradicate the Cult of Diablo.
Eminence In The Shadows Season 2: Everything We Know
It was previously announced by the official website of Eminence in Shadows that season 2 will be released in 2023.
The exact release date was not announced yet, but now we know that season 2 will be released in late 2023. The new information about the upcoming season will be released on May 28, 2023.
The anime will be animated by Nexus, the studio behind the hits Darwin’s Game and Rakudai
Kishi no Cavalry. The series will stream exclusively on HIDIVE.

Season 2 Story
Season 2 will revolve around the Lawless City if the anime follows the plot of the novel.
The Blood Queen, a vampire who has been in slumber, is about to awaken. Cid, the fight lover he is, decides to go after her.
However, things take a turn for him as the three rulers of the city decide to hunt him down.
After an amazing season 1 which attracted many new fans to the series, many fans anxiously await season 2.
