Golden Kamuy Author’s New Manga Information Revealed

Satoru Noda is one of the industry’s most influential and creative manga authors, creating one of the most successful and multiple award-winning historical series of all time, Golden Kamuy.

Satoru Noda is set to release a new manga almost a year after Golden Kamuy reached the climax.

Satoru Noda’s Golden Kamuy was also adapted into an anime that further commercialized the manga’s success.

The new manga penned by Satoru Noda is predicted to be more commercially successful than Golden Kamuy, as Satoru Noda is shifting from the historical war genre to ice hockey.

Information On The New Manga

The new manga by Saturo Noda will release on July 27, 2023, in Shuiesha’s Weekly Young Jump Magazine and will revolve around Ice Hockey.

On November 11, 2022, Hokkaido Magazine revealed that Satoru Noda’s Ice Hockey Manga titled “Supinamarada” would be relaunched soon in Weekly Young Jump Magazine by Shueisha.

Supinamarada was Satoru Noda’s debut manga, published before Golden Kamuy. The series was previously published for a short period of time in Weekly Young Jump from July 2011 to Nov 2012.

The new manga series is also tentatively titled “Supinamarada” and is currently subject to change. If it follows the same story context as Supinamarada, the story will be set in Tomakomai, the subprefecture of Hokkaido. The manga will follow Ro Shirakawa, a top ice skater in his city.

When a sudden death in his family occurs, Ro’s dream of playing in the Olympics shatters. After a fateful meeting with two hockey players, Genma Brothers, Ro Shirakawa was introduced to another world of ice sports.

The series will follow the development and character progression of Ro Shirakawa and the other characters he will fatefully meet.
