Now I know what you’re thinking, leaks? This early? Well to answer that question dear readers, I have a great surprise to reveal! Since this week Sunday is a national holiday in Japan, Shonen Jump magazine will be releasing a couple days earlier! Meaning that we earlier leaks this week!

Chapter 177 Recap
It’s been an entire week since we last had a chapter from the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, so let’s do a quick recap of what went down in the most recent chapter before jumping into spoilers!
The chapter kicks off with the continuation of a fight that was teased last chapter, Yuta vs Ryuu! The two continue their fight at close range hitting each other with combos and dangerous cursed techniques. This goes on for some time but right as Yuta lands a perfect hit on Ryuu he gets dragged away by Uro.
Using her cursed technique of space manipulation she is able to send an unsuspecting Yuta barreling into the ground. This of course angers Ryuu since she just stole his fight from him. However, as we can see in the next panel Uro knows just how to handle him, reflecting one of his shots right back at him with more force!
As the chapter ends both sorcerers watch as Yuta struggles to stand up from that last attack. In their heads they’ve both ruled that Yuta cannot fight any longer and that he’s hit the bottom of his cursed energy pool. But on the final page of the chapter we see that Yuta’s just getting started as he summons Rika to him!
Chapter 178 Spoilers
Now that we are all caught up, let’s dive right into chapter 178. Warning, however, some raws for the upcoming chapter are already out so there are confirmed spoilers below, you have been warned.
Before we jump into the latest chapter let’s very quickly run over Rika and Yuta’s abilities, since they play an important part in this weeks chapter. As we know thanks to Rika, Yuta has a huge pool of cursed energy allowing him to manipulate it with ease and use reverse cursed techniques. As for Rika’s abilities she can essentially store other sorcers cursed techniques allowing Yuta to use them. Now let’s get into the chapter!
The chapter seems to kick off with Yuta restraining Uro using Inumaki’s cursed speech. A cursed technique he was able to use thanks to Rika. Rika and Yuta then proceed to attack Uro together, but as they fight Ryu tries to jump back in. One of his attacks hirt Rika causing her to send him flying away with a punch.
As Rika follows up on Ryu, Yuta and Uro continue their battle, whilst arguing with each other. Uro still thinks that Yuta is a descendant of the Fujiwara clan, making her absolutely loathe him. Yuta tries to tell apologize for what his supposed ancestors may have done. Then he goes on to tell her that she should stop living for revenge and live for herself, a statement that angers Uro even more.
As the chapter comes to a close we see that all three sorcerers are now more or less in one area after all their fighting. It’s here that Ryu yells out, now is not the time for words. A statement that all three sorcerers seemingly agree on, since they all at the same time launch their domain expansions. And the chapter leaves us off there, begging for more!

Release Date
Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 178 is currently expected to release a little earlier than normal on Friday, March 18th, 2022. As of the writing of this article, there have been no announced delays to the upcoming chapter. Meaning that the official English release of JJK will most likely stick to to the date they have posted.
