Finlly the wait is over as Jujutsu Kaisen movie release date has been confirmed. Furthermore, a brand new trailer has been released for the upcoming movie.
Jujutsu Kaisen Movie Release Date
Through the official twitter account, it has been confirmed that Jujutsu Kaisen Movie 0 will be releasing all across Japan on December 24. Unfortunately, fans from other part of the world will have to wait a little longer, as Jujutsu Kaisen movie will be released few months after the initial release in Japan.
Jujutsu Kaisen Movie Trailer
A new Jujutsu Kaisen movie trailer has been released by Official twitter account where we see the first glimpse of Jujutsu Kaisen movie protagonist, Yuta Okkotsu. 30 second teaser trailer does not reveal that much information but we can see that animation is top notch from Mappa Studio
Who Will Voice Yuta Okkotsu?
Jujutsu Kaisen Movie 0 will have a new protagonist “Yuta Okkotsu”. He will be voiced by a very talented voice actress “Megumi Ogata”. She is known for voicing a lot of popular characters like Yugi, Shinji and Hanako. All the other cast will remain same as in season 1 of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Apparently, Megumi Ogata was offered to do Yuta’s voice without even going through the audition. Jujutsu Kaisen creator, Gege Akutami is also pleased with the VA choice. Here is a direct comment from the author himself:
“I originally had an image of Okkotsu Yuta as “neutral, soft, and gentle, but capable of large range of emotions” so when I found out Ogata Megumi-wan had been cast for his role, I thought it was perfect fit”

- Panda will be voiced by Seki Tomokazu
- Geto Suguru will be voiced by Takahiro Sakurai

Is Jujutsu Kaisen Movie Canon?
Yes, Jujutsu Kaisen movie is canon, but the film will feature a different protagonist this time. Instead of Yuji Itadori as a main character, Yuta Okkotsu will take the center stage for the movie.
Plot
Jujutsu Kaisen movie 0 will tell a story about a young boy called Yuta Okkotsu, who is haunted by his childhood friend Rika. Rika’s spirit has been cursed and turns into a cursed entity that mercilessly kill anyone who she deems a threat to Yuta
