The official Twitter account of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime adaptation has revealed a new key visual for season 2, which is scheduled to release in 2023. The new poster features Gojo Satoru, Makima, and Geto riding a train together. Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 trailer will be released on September 25 at Toho Animation’s 10th-anniversary celebration event.
Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 anime will adapt the Shibuya Incident Arc of the manga, which is considered one of the best arcs of the series. Cursed spirits Mahito, Jogo, and Geto plan to take Gojo Satoru out of the picture as he is the biggest hurdle in their way to achieving their goal.
Jujutsu Kaisen anime is based on the manga of the same name, written and drawn by Gege Akutami, which is being serialised in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The manga series debuted on March 5, 2018, and there are currently 20 volumes available. It is being published in English by Viz Media. Earlier this August, the manga passed the 70 million copy mark.
Mappa Studio picked up the Jujutsu Kaisen manga for an anime adaptation. The first season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime was released in 2020, followed a movie titled Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which adapts a prequel story to the Jujutsu Kaisen season 1.
