Episode 16 starts with Megumi trying to overpower Toji but can do nothing against his strong physical body. Toji manages to shove a hole in Megumi but commits suicide after asking a question.
We see Kusakabe and Panda about to run as the fight between Sukuna and Jogo gets heated. But Sukuna forbids anyone from leaving until he says so.
Later, we see Sukuna use the flame-cursed technique. A final flame battle between Sukuna and Jogo happens, which results in Jogo’s loss.
Sukuna visits Jogo in the afterlife to tell him never to lower his head. On the other side, Megumi is on the brink of death as he has summoned a dangerous Shikigami.

The next episode starts with Megumi summoning a special shinigami, which only the “ten shadow technique” users can summon. It is Mahoraga.
Mahoraga knocks him out as soon as he arrives and goes for Haruta. Sukuna saves Haruta, as killing him would causes Megumi to die. So, Sukuna decides to face Mahoraga alone.
The fight continues while Sukuna lays out his domain expansion, which does much damage to Mahoraga. Sukuna ends the fight with his flame-cursed technique.
Haruta tries to run, but he gets chopped into two pieces by Sukuna. Ieri and the school’s headmaster later discover Megumi as Itadori is about to face a mental breakdown.
