Wotakoi: Love is hard for Otaku is a manga series written and illustrated by Fujita. It began serialization in Comic Pool on November 6, 2015. So far, 10 volumes of the manga have been released. The last and 11th volume will come out on October 14 in Japan.

The first season of the anime came out in April 2018. The first OVA was released in March 2019, while the second OVA was released in February 2019. Unfortunately, there is still no news for the season 2 release date or if the 2nd season will ever happen?

Kodansha describes the series as follows:

Narumi has had it rough: every boyfriend she’s had dumped her once they found out she was an Otaku, so she’s gone to great lengths to hide it. When a chance meeting at her new job with childhood friend, fellow Otaku, and now coworker Hirotaka Nifuji almost gets her secret outed at work, she comes up with a plan to make sure he never speaks up. But he comes up with a counter-proposal: why doesn’t she just date him instead? In love, there are no save points.
