Megumin’s Voice Actor Request Her Fans To Bath Before Attending Her First Concert

Rie Takahashi is a talented and popular voice actress known for her exceptional performances in a range of anime series, including Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!, Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu, and Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san, among many others. Her fans are in awe of her voice-acting skills, but like many other voice actors, Takahashi is also trying her hand at singing.

While Takahashi had already performed theme songs for several anime series, including the ones mentioned above, she had always done so in the voice of her characters and not as herself. In 2014, she signed with the A-Sketch record agency, and on February 26, 2023, she performed her first live concert in Japan, “Rie Takahashi 1st LIVE (高橋李依1stLIVE).”

Excitement for the concert was high, and Takahashi took to Twitter to offer some advice to fans attending the event. Among the recommendations, which included reminders to bring their tickets, wallets, and charged mobile phones, Takahashi offered some tips on personal hygiene. Specifically, she recommended that fans trim their nails, avoid getting drunk, and, most importantly, take a bath! Takahashi even added a label that read, “You don’t want to bother someone with your smell.”

The post generated a lot of attention on Japanese social media, with some fans finding it amusing while others were offended. Some fans expressed disbelief that anyone needed to be reminded to bathe, while others pointed out that Takahashi was being considerate to others attending the event.

Regardless of the reaction, it is clear that Takahashi is not only a talented voice actress and singer but also a caring individual who wants to ensure her fans have the best possible experience at her concert. Her dedication to her craft and fans is truly admirable, and we can only expect great things from her in the future.

Takahashi will be reprising her role as Megumin in the upcoming Konosuba spin-off anime series KONOSUBA: An Explosion on This Wonderful World, which will premiere in April 2023.
