Following the release of episode 5 of Mushoku Tensei season 2, the original author of the light novel series admitted that Paul Greyart’s popularity will most likely decrease.
In a recent tweet, Rifujin na Magonote said:
“I am considering selling all my shares in Paul as they will not increase in value in future. This is the right time to cut loose”.
In the recent Mushoku Tensei episode, Paul and Redues reunion after several years did not go well. As Rudues started telling his journey of Paul, he got upset that while he was continuously searching for their family, while Rudues was having fun adventures.
The argument led to the fist fight between Rudues and Paul. Most fans think that Paul was expecting too much from Rudeus, who is still 10 years old.

The Mushoku Tensei anime is based on the light novel series written by Rifujin na Magonote. The light novel series is also receiving a manga adaptation.
The series tells the story of a 35 year old who gets reincarnated in another world. He lived his previous life full of regrets but he vows to not repeat the same mistakes again, and live his life to the fullest.
