“Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation” is arguably the best isekai anime series of Summer 2023 that the whole anime community showered with love.
Now that the Summer anime season is over and Mushoku Tensei season 2 episode 12 has aired, fans are left wondering if there will be more episodes or if a sequel is on the cards. Here is everything we know so far regarding season 3.
“Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation” follows the story of an old otaku who dies while saving a girl’s life. He gets reincarnated into a magical world as a baby named “Rudeus.” He decides to live the right way in this world and starts building his character from a young age.
Season 2 of “Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation” continues Rudeus’ journey as Eris, his student, left him without telling him, and now Rudeus wanders the world alone.
The animation studio behind this anime series was “Studio Bind,” a new studio formed by the famous “White Fox” animation studio. This studio is mainly famous for animating the Mushoku Tensei series, but it has animated another series called “Onimai.”
Will there be Mushoku Tensei Season 3?
Mushoku Tensei season 3 is yet to be officially announced. However, we will get more episodes of the series in April 2024.
As it turns out, Mushoku Tensei season 2 is not over yet, as it was split into two cours (two parts). The first part, having 12 episodes, has finished airing, while the second part is yet to air.
Mushoku Tensei season 2 will return with part 2 in April 2024, which will be the Spring anime season of 2024. The episode count for part 2 has not been revealed yet.

Where To Start Manga or Light Novel After Season 2 Part 1?
If you can not wait for the anime series to return, you can pick up the light novel or manga series to quench your thirst.
Season 2 Part 1 adapted the first three volumes of the “Adolescence Period Arc” (volumes 7-9). So, Part 2 will adapt the last three volumes of this arc (volume 10-12). So, there is enough source material for more than one sequel.
The light novel series has also received a manga adaptation, which Yaka Fujikawa illustrated. The light novel and manga series have received an English Serialization from “Seven Seas Entertainment.”

The Sales of the Light Novel Series
The sole purpose of giving a source material an anime adaptation is to increase its sales. Mushoku Tensei’s light novel sales have increased as it is placed #2 on Amazon’s Top Selling Teen & Adult Light Novel Series and Bookwalker’s Top Selling Light Novels in September.
The Amazon ranking suggests that the series is not only famous in Japan but worldwide.
Season 2 Part 1 Ratings
As discussed earlier, Mushoku Tensei achieved the highest ratings from anime fans. On various review platforms like MyAnimeList (8.5/10), AniList (8.6/10), and LiveChart (8.56/10), fans have shown.
The series has also achieved many modeled and acrylic figurines of its main characters, like Eris, Roxy, and Sylphy. So, its popularity among fans was pretty much incredible.
The Blu-ray & DVD box sets will be released in two volumes between October 18 – December 20, 2023.

Since its first season, the anime series has been streamed on different streaming platforms, like Funimation, Hulu, bilibili, Crunchyroll, and Amazon Prime Video. So, it is safe to say that this series will be streamed on the same platforms for future sequels.
