To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Naruto’s franchise, the team behind the legendary anime and manga has prepared a lot of surprises for the fans. One of the welcoming surprises is that fans will soon be able to see Sasuke in his own manga adaptation.

One of the most popular Naruto spin-off light novels, Sasuke Retsuden, will be getting a manga adaptation. The manga will be published online on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump plus app on October 23rd, 2022.
Sasuke Retsuden story is set after the events of Naruto Shippuden and before the event of Boruto, and the light novels art is provided by the author of the Naruto series, Masashi Kishimoto, and written by Jun Esaka. The light novel has been a massive hit among Japanese fans, so it is no surprise that it is getting a manga adaptation.
Story of Sasuke Retsuden
After the 4th great shinobi war ended, the Shinobi world enjoyed a long period of peace. However, the hero of the war, Naruto caught a sickness that prevented him to access his Chakra. To cure his childhood friend, Sasuke alongside Kakashi and Sakura embarked on a journey to find the cure for Naruto’s illness.
The story is filled with really cute and romantic moments between Sakura and Sasuke, so if you are a fan of a little bit of romance, you will enjoy reading the upcoming manga.
According to the official Twitter account of the Naruto/Boruto series, the new chapters won’t be released weekly, but bi-weekly, meaning two chapters each month.
Kishimoto will not draw the manga series, but a new mangaka, Shingo Kimura will be in charge of drawing. The Sasuke Retsuden light novel will be released in English on November 22 and is available to preorder on Amazon.
