The long-awaited One Piece live-action series is set to anchor on Netflix this August 31. If the early reviews are anything to go by, the series promises to be a treasure trove for fans.
A recent clip released by a YouTube channel shines a light on Sanji, portrayed by Tayz Skyler, and his compelling relationship with restaurant owner Zeff. The clip captures Sanji in the bustling kitchen of Baratie, a floating restaurant ship, as he crafts a new culinary creation—much to the disapproval of Owner Zeff.
For those unfamiliar with the lore, Zef plays a fatherly role in Sanji’s life. Not only did Zef rescue Sanji when he was stranded on a deserted island, but he also shared his own food rations with him.
The clip has garnered massive applause in the comments section, where fans are praising the attention to detail. One such nuance is when Sanji prepares a new dish. Zeff instructs him to focus on serving the customers.
Yet Zef, not willing to waste food, carefully sets the dish aside. Both Zeff and Sanji understand the value of food, so the dish will later serve as a meal for the kitchen staff.
