As Luffy and Lucci are still fighting a one-sided fight, we see how Luffy tries new moves against him and makes him realize that his new power is something no one can underestimate. But the main headline of this chapter is Vegapunk revealing how Devil Fruits can be replicated. Is Vegapunk lying about this to get their favour, or is this the reality? Chapter 1069 Summary
Chapter 1069 was titled “We owe all there is to desire!” The fight’s main headline was between Gear 5 Luffy and Awakened Rob Lucci. Kizaru is also on his way to Eggland Island without informing Fleet Admiral Sakazuki.
Chapter 1069 also revealed that Luffy’s devil fruit is not mentioned in the devil fruit book. Lucci attacks Sentomaru, and he is gravely injured at the moment. At the end of the chapter, we see Lucci utterly defeated by Luffy.

Luffy vs. Rob Lucci Continues
The battle of Luffy Vs. Lucci continues. Lucci can’t land a single hit on Luffy.

Just what you should expect from Luffy’s devil fruit, he is showing Luccu how overpowered, he is with his awakened devil fruit. A panel from the upcoming chapter was released during the Jump Festa 2023, which shows Luffy using a new attack against Lucci, named “Gomu Gomu no Don (white) rocket“. The panel is shown below:
Lucci is in control of Seraphim
Sentomaru is not dead but has been defeated and is taken away for treatment. Lucci takes control of the Seraphim.

Sentomaru received a lethal attack from Lucci, but he is still alive. But he is no longer in control of the Seraphim, which is a little problematic for others.
Replicating Devil Fruits
Vegapunk explains the difficulty in replicating the Akuma no Mi.

This was the headline of the chapter and perhaps one of the biggest revelations of the One Piece Series. Vegapunk has emphasized that this is the work that is not easy to achieve but can be done.
Zoan is the easiest to replicate as they are based on animals. Mythological models are very difficult to replicate because of their special conditions.

As someone would expect, animal-type devil fruits are easy to replicate as animals are everywhere in our environment, for example, Kaku’s Giraffe modelled Fruit. And as mythical animals are no longer alive, it isn’t easy to replicate them, for instance, Kaido’s mythical Azure Dragon Fruit.
To replicate Paramecia you only need the “lineage factor” of the user.

For Paramecia-type fruits, it is a little difficult to replicate them as a “lineage factor” is required for them. Lineage might be a genetic factor that the first owner must transfer to the other and carry on, for example, Whitebeard’s Tremor Tremor fruit.
Logias are practically impossible to replicate, Vegapunk doesn’t want to talk too much about it.

This is a controversial opinion, as Vegapunk is not speaking much about it. When you think about this, Logia types should be the easiest to replicate but according to Vegapunk, they are impossible to be replicated.
Take, for instance, Ace’s Fire fruit, which only requires you to take fire as a model, which can be created anywhere (if we take the concept of Zoan-type devil fruit). So, what might be the reason for this?
We know that the World Government no longer has any use for Docter Vegapunk and they want to assassinate him. Vegapunk wants to get off the island, and for that, he needs Straw Hat’s trust. In order to gain that, Vegapunk revealed a little bit of information about Devil Fruits. So it is not impossible to think that he withheld some of the information.
Since Vegapunk will be accompanying Straw Hats for a little while, surely more information will be revealed not only on Devil Fruits but other mysteries of the One Piece world as well.
