Contrary to rumors suggesting Mappa would animate One Punch Man season 3, the official trailer confirmed J.C. Staff as the responsible studio.

J.C. Staff also animated the second season of One Punch Man, while the first season was handled by Studio Madhouse.

Season 2 faced criticism for its perceived downgrade in animation quality, leading many fans to hope for a different studio to take the reins for season 3.

Other than OPM season 2, J.C. Staff is well known for animating Food Wars, Prison School, Torodora!, and Saiki K.

The trailer also unveiled some of the staff involved, including the character designer and music composer.

J.C. Staff’s One Punch Man season 3 will feature series composition by Tomohiro Suzuki. Character design will be handled by Chikashi Kubota, Shinjiro Kuroda, and Ryosuke Shirakawa, with Makoto Miyazaki composing the music.

A new character visual featuring Saitama has also been released.

The One Punch Man anime series is based on the manga of the same name, created by the mangaka known by the pen name ONE. Yusuke Murata’s manga remake significantly boosted the series’ popularity.

Murata began publication on Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump website in June 2012. Viz Media has licensed the remake manga for English language release in North America and has serialized it in its Weekly Shonen Jump digital magazine.

If you haven’t already, you can catch up with seasons 1 and 2 of the series on Crunchyroll, which describes the series as follows:

Saitama started out being a hero just for fun. After three years of “special” training, he became so powerful that he can defeat opponents with a single punch. Now, alongside Genos, his faithful cyborg disciple, Saitama is ready to begin his official duties as a professional hero working with the Hero Association. However, the frequency of monster appearances is surging and it increasingly appears as if the Great Seer Madame Shibabawa’s prediction about the Earth’s doom is coming true. In the midst of this crisis, the “hero hunter” Garou makes his own appearance.
