Isekai manga series, Overlord, written by Kugane Maruyama, will be getting a 2D action game which is scheduled to be released in 2022.
You, the player will play as human warrior Clementine, who has superhuman abilities. Clementine has lost her memories, and she will fight to escape from Aizen’s tomb, Nazarick.
According to the Kodakawa YouTube channel, the game is an original story which is overseen by Overlord light novel creator, Kugane Maruyama. The 2d action fighting game will be available on Steam and Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, it won’t be available on mobile devices.

According to Steam’s description of the game, Clementine at first will be unarmed, and due to losing her memories, she won’t be able to use her full abilities. In order to become powerful enough to escape, she will have to explore every corner of Aizen’s tomb, Nazarick.
In case you missed it, Overlord season 4 will be released in 2022. Overlord is also getting a film, which will adapt the Holy Kingdom arc. The release date for the movie has not been announced yet.
The Overlord light novel is written by Kugane Maruyama, and drawn by so-bin. The author started publishing the series in 2010, and so far 14 volumes have been released. Kugane wants to end the series in 17 volumes. Studio Madhouse has adapted the novels into an anime adaptation. There is also a manga adaptation of light novels, which started publication in 2014.
