Seven Deadly Sins franchise is getting an open-world game similar to Genshin Impact. The game will be available to play on PC, consoles, and mobile.
Earlier today at a Korean news conference Netmarble announced their new game lineup. Of course, the one that grabbed most eyes of anime fans was Seven Deadly Sins open-world role-playing game, titled “The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin”.
From what we know so far, the game is a sequel to Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross game. Also, it will have a new protagonist and many more characters from Four Knights of the Apocalypse manga (which is a sequel to the Seven Deadly Sins manga series).
Based on the trailer that has been released, the gameplay is similar to the popular game, Genshin Impact. Players will be able to explore the open world with a high level of freedom. There are also underwater areas that can be explored. Players can also play as popular characters, including Meliodas, King, and Merlin. Hopefully, Netmarble will release new information on the game soon. From the initial trailer of the game, Seven Deadly Sins fans are absolutely loving it.
The game currently does not have a set release date because as mentioned it is still in early development. However, based on the trailer and its featured gameplay I expect we can see the game released sometime in early 2023.
The previous game installment of the franchise, The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross was released in Japan in 2019, however, it wasn’t released worldwide till 2020. So, international fans might have to wait a little longer than Japanese fans. This is of course just a guess and by no means official. Check out the beautiful trailer below!
In case you missed it, Black Clover is also getting an open world game. From the first teaser trailer, it also looks incredible.
Netmarble also announced a Solo Leveling game which will be released on PC, and mobile. Tower of God will be getting a new game as well.
