It seems that Jujutsu Kaisen’s number one most popular character is still stuck with a whole bunch of jokers “annoying people” in JJK’s upcoming 169th chapter.
Read on to find everything you need to know and in this week’s upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen, titled, ‘Tokyo No.1 Colony, Part 9.’ From spoilers to release dates, we have it all right here on Anime Senpai!
Chapter 168 Recap
Before we jump into spoilers for chapter 169 let’s do a quick recap of what went down in the most recent chapter of the series, titled, ‘Tokyo No.1 Colony, Part 8.’
The chapter kicks off with a reveal of who dropped the exploding eyeball, and no Nobara theorists it’s not her. Instead, it’s one of the culling game players, Hazenoki Iori, who seems to have the ability to create and throw exploding body parts of his own, he also regenerates them. When the explosion goes off we see pure chaos go down as Megumi runs around in the smoke of the explosion while attacks are being thrown everywhere.
After a particularly nasty explosion, thanks to Hazenoki’s exploding teeth and Reggie’s receipt gasoline, we see Remi and Megumi in a room together. Once he saves her, Megumi yells at her telling the female sorcerer that those two don’t care about her at all and that she should just leave. At the same time, an enemy that Megumi sent flying earlier climbs back up the building and comes face to face with Megumi.
As he ponders on what to do a Kogane appears before them and informs every player in the room about the new rule Itadori and Higuruma created. Megumi simply smiles before launching that player out of the building again, this time following after him and stabbing him repeatedly. Killing him and scoring his five points.
The chapter ends as Megumi prepares to face off against Reggie and Hazenoki. In the last couple of panels, a new supposedly ally arrives in the form of Takaba Fumihiko, ex comedian. He claims that 2 v 1 is unfair, so he will be helping Megumi with this fight. Thus ending the chapter as Megumi watches clearly annoyed and frustrated.
Chapter 169 Spoilers
Now that we are all caught up, let’s dive right into chapter 169. Warning, however, some raws for the upcoming chapter are already out so there are confirmed spoilers below, you have been warned.
After Takaba’s sudden arrival in the last chapter sprouting what seems to be a superhero outfit of sorts and preaching about fair fights Megumi is understandably surprised and a little annoyed. (Did you see his face at the end of the last chapter). However, it seems as of the start of this chapter Takaba and Megumi talk and begin to work together, for real this time.
With their fight now ready to be continued Takaba and the others get into their fighting poses. Seeing their poses Takaba makes a dumb joke and everyone goes silent. Takaba now gets angry since no one had a reaction, he then goes on to rant about people who have front row tickets but don’t even bother to smile. As he rants to himself, he suddenly out of nowhere snaps onto Hazenoki and sends him flying. Surprising Megumi, since he assumed that Takaba was weak.
Megumi attempts to fight Reggie using his shadows, but after some fighting, he gets an idea. Checking Higuruma’s info using a Kogane Megumi sees that it was indeed Itadori who convinced the ex-lawyer to add that rule. With his job here done Megumi walks away mentioning how he should leave this colony.
Of course, this angers Reggie, who yells that he has to get the points that Megumi took from his guys. Now more annoyed than ever Megumi makes a deal with Takaba, he gets to take care of Hazenoki and leaves Reggie to himself. Agreeing to this Takaba begins to face off against Hazenoki and takes him out in an….interesting way, one that can be best described as something similar to Kakashi’s “One Thousand Years of Death.”
The chapter ends as Megumi claims he is happy that Takaba ended out not being an enemy. To which Takaba replies that’s something he has always wanted to hear at least once. The final panel shows Takaba walking off as Megumi and Reggie prepare to have their final showdown.

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 169 is expected to release officially on Sunday, December 19th, 2021 as usual. However, if there is any change to the schedule we will make sure to update this page.
