Tokyo Revengers Breaks Attack on Titan Record For Manga Sales

According to various trusted sources. Tokyo Revengers has beaten the manga sales record previously held by Attack on Titan. In case you don’t know, both Tokyo Revengers and Attack on Titan are published in the same magazine company called Kodansha. While Attack on Titan was published in monthly Kodansha magazine, Tokyo Revengers is published in weekly magazine.

In 2021, Tokyo Revengers manga have sold more than 16,532,610 copies which is the Kodansha’s highest selling manga in 1 year. Amazing thing is that there are still 14 weeks left, so the number of copies is surely going to increase. Previously, Kodansha’s highest selling manga record was held by Attack on Titan, which sold 15,933,801 manga copies in 2013.

Although, Tokyo Revengers quality of animation is going down according to some fans, the popularity of Tokyo Revengers manga keeps increasing. Author Ken Wakui, who was actually a gang member in early 2000’s has crafted a beautiful story about Gang life, relationships and love.
