Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Season 3 will be released on October 8, 2022, during the Fall 2022 anime season. According to the official NHK website, the third season will consist of 21 episodes. A new key visual has been released by the official Twitter account of the anime series, featuring the cast of Welcome to Demon School! season 3.
The series follows Iruma, a 14-year-old boy whose parents sold him to a demon for money and Iruma finds himself dragged against his will into the world of demons. The demon that kidnapped Iruma asks him to become his grandchild and attend a demon school.
To make matters worse, his adoring owner and self-proclaimed “Grandpa” is the chair-demon at his new school. To survive, Iruma must deal with other students who don’t like humans. Iruma lives in a fair that eventually, someone will find out that he is a human, and he will either be kicked out of school or worse, eaten by demons.
The official website has released the plot for season 3. “Iruma’s next challenge is to break into the huge jungle of the demon world and compete for food in the harvest festival. Classmates become rivals of each other and a powerful battle will be unfolded.”
The anime series is based on the manga of the same name, written and drawn by Osamu Nishi. It has been serialized in Akita Shoten’s shōnen manga magazine since March 2017. As of November 2021, the series has been collected in twenty-four volumes.
Bandai Namco Pictures picked up the manga for an anime adaptation. The first season premiered in October 2019, with the second season following in September 2021.
Director Makoto Moriwaki (Associate Producer for Yuri!! On Ice) will also be returning for season 3. Series composition will be done by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, while Yumiko Hara is in charge of character design. Music for Welcome to Demon School! Iruma kun season 3 will be done Akimitsu Honma.
