After a not-so-short three-month break Black Clover finally returns this week! And of course, fans around the world are excited! If you need any proof just take a look at Twitter, earlier today #BCSpoilers was trending alongside a flurry of character names!
It’s clear that fans are excited for the upcoming chapter so let’s not waste any time and get right into spoilers for the long-awaited chapter 332! Titled, “Final Declaration!”
Chapter 331 Recap
Seeing as how it’s been around three months since we were last in the world of Yuki Tabata’s Black Clover I believe a brief recap is well needed.
After a long fight, one that was personal for Liebe and Asta, Lucifero has finally been defeated and sealed away! With the fight finally over it’s time for the heroes to get home but first, Nacht has someone Yuno has to meet. The Queen consort of the Spade Kingdom, Ciel Grinberryal, also known as Yuno’s mother!
After a brief moment between mother and son the big question comes up, will Yuno stay in the Spade kingdom now that his heritage has been revealed? For now, it seems that the answer to that question is no. After all, Yuno has a promise to keep with his rival, to become the Wizard King!
Following that declaration from Yuno and Asta, we cut to the actual wizard king Julius Novachrono. Or so we thought. I’m sure we’ve all seen this chapter’s cliffhanger ending that shook the entire world of Black Clover. Julius Novachrono is actually the 4th Zogratis sibling, Lucius Zogratis. If you somehow have not heard of this, you can check the full story right here.
It’s unclear how exactly Lucius and Julius are connected but I’m sure that question will be answered in the coming chapters. Finally, this shocking chapter ends with Lucius gaining Lucifero’s heart and summoning his Spade Kingdom grimoire right as he states, “everything is going to plan.”
We’ve had to sit on that cliffhanger for three long months but now without further ado, let’s get into spoilers for chapter 332!
Chapter 332 Spoilers
Now that we are all caught up, let’s dive right into chapter 332. Warning, however, some raws for the upcoming chapter are already out so there are confirmed spoilers below, you have been warned.
As you may have heard over on Twitter via leaks, the return of Black Clover comes with a surprise one-year and three-month time skip! But before that, we start off with what seems to be Lucius in the underworld shortly after the events of the Spade Kingdom Arc. The 4th Zogratis sibling appears before the defeated Lucifero and seemingly takes his heart.
Jumping forward post time skip we see a special ceremony taking place for the heroes of the Spade Kingdom. Where Asta is finally promoted to a Senior Magic Knight, Yuno is also promoted and manages to stay ahead of his rival with his brand new Grand Magic Knight rank. Funny enough Yuno is off on a mission and isn’t able to be there for the award or Asta’s reaction.
It also seems that a couple of things have changed around in the Clover kingdom. For one since Damnatio randomly disappeared the devil trials have mainly been forgotten about, meaning that Asta and Liebe are more are less free now. Furthermore, it seems that Julius the current wizard king has been missing from major events, most recently the award ceremony, some find this odd but chalk it up to his strange hobby of disguising himself.
We also see a brief but motivating conversation between Asta and Fuego. Where the latter says Asta’s merit should be recognized, even if people are distrustful of a devil’s power.
Moving onto Yami we learn that he does actually know about Charlotte’s confession of love. Finral ended up telling him after the fighting ended. Yami has no idea how to react to this and can be seen sitting on the toilet pondering if Charlotte is in love with him.
Finally, as the chapter comes to a close we see another confession, this time from Asta! As the hero finally formally confesses his love to Sister Lilly! Only for the nun to reject him telling the young Black Bull that he’s like a brother to her (ouch). Surprisingly Asta accepts this rejection and says that this is the last time he will ask the nun. Of course, in Asta fashion, he yells out to still watch out for him as he becomes the wizard king!
With that, the chapter comes to a close, but not before one final very interesting panel. Where Lucius Zogratis makes his sudden appearance before Asta. And so we end on a cliffhanger with Lucius saying this, “congratulations on making it this far, this is the end for you.”
Whatever that means…it looks like we’ll have to find out next week!

Release Date
Black Clover 332 is currently expected to release Sunday, July 31st, 2022. As of the writing of this article, there have been no announced delays to the upcoming chapter. Meaning that the official English release of Black Clover will most likely stick to schedule and release as usual.
