Synopsis
Bleach: Thousand Year Blood war arc tells the story of Quincys uprising. The Quincys were human beings who had the ability to detect hollows, but instead of purifying hollows like Shinigami do, they started destroying them. Shinigami started killing Quincy as they believe that Quincy were destroying the balance of the world by killing hollows.
It was believed that all Quincy except Ishida’s family has been destroyed, but later it is revealed in the manga that they weren’t exterminated, but were hiding and growing in power. After the defeat of Aizen, they declared war on the Soul society.
The upcoming anime season will be animated by Studio Pierrot, direction and composition will be done by Tomohisa Taguchi. Bleach is expected to return for at least 50 to 60 anime episodes as Thousand year blood war arc is a long arc in the manga having more than 200 chapters. We still don’t know whether Bleach will become a seasonal anime or a weekly anime like Boruto and One Piece.
Bleach anime is based on a manga series, written and drawn by Tite Kubo. He started publishing the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2001, and ended the publication in 2016. The manga was picked up for an anime adaptation by Studio Pierrot, who aired 366 episodes between 2004 to 2012.
