With the release of episode 6, we can easily say that the Bleach TYBW arc has become the strongest contender for the anime of the season. Fans not only got to see the epic fight between the two group leaders but the surprising return of Aizen as well.
Episode 6 mostly depicted the battle between Genryusai Yamamoto, the head squad leader of the Shinigami, and Yhwach, the leader of the Sternritter. Yamamoto was enraged that his beloved subordinate, Lieutenant Captain was killed by the Sternritter.
Yamamoto is ready to end the war by killing the Sternritter leader, Yhwach. Bleach anime fans for the first time, see Yamamoto’s Bankai in action.
The captain’s Bankai is named Zanka no Tachi, and its power matches the power of the sun. Yamamoto reveals that he wants to end the fight quickly because if used for too long, his Bankai can destroy the whole Soul Society.

Aizen Returns
After fighting for some time, the fight stops for a moment as Yhwach reveals that he went to see Aizen, the former captain of the 13 Court Guard Squad, who is currently in prison for his crimes. Yhwach asks Aizen for his assistance as Aizen once tried to destroy the Soul Society, so in that regard, both individuals share a common goal.

However, Aizen refuses to help Yhwach as he knows that Sternritter’s leader sees him as a threat, but he cannot kill him easily. Even though Aizen is chained, he is still too powerful to be destroyed in an instant.
Anime and manga fans were surprised to see Aizen as doesn’t appear in the manga. In the manga, when Yhwach talks to Yamamoto about his meeting with Aizen, we actually don’t see Aizen. However, Pierrot Studio decided to add this extra scene to the anime, which is an understandable addition, considering the popularity of Aizen.
The epic fight between Yhwach and Yamamoto, and Aizen’s cameo were enough for Twitter to explode with Bleach anime tweets as the hashtag “Bleach” started trending.
Will Aizen Return In The Future Episodes?
Spoiler Warning: Although more than anything, fans want to see more of Aizen but he was already defeated by Ichigo so if he returns to the anime, it will diminish the impact of the new Villain, Yhwach.
Aizen will return in the future and will play an important role in the fight between Yhwach and Ichigo Kurosaki, however, for now, Aizen will not be returning to the anime in the near future.
