Chapter 154 Recap
Before we jump into chapter 155’s spoilers, let’s do a quick recap of what went down in the most recent release of Blue Lock, chapter 154, titled, ‘Master.’
Chapter 154 starts off just a bit after the events of the previous chapter as we can see that some players have already chosen their environment. From the main cast, Igarashi chose Germany, Otoya chose Spain, Jyubei chose Italy, and Zantetsu chose France.
There is only an hour and a half left in the selection process and many of our main cast is still having difficulty picking where they want to go. Isagi says that he is having trouble picking between Germany and England as he feels both teams would suit him well. Chigiri tells him that, he will be picking England since they are a speed-based team, Chigiri’s main weapon. Reo also jumps in and says that he too has picked England, since they give off a rich feel.
After questioning which team is best at trapping Nagi also chooses England. After a while of thinking it out himself, Isagi also makes his decision, choosing to go to Germany, as he feels he can improve his best there.
As the final selection ends the chapter does as well, leaving us with the final choices of all the players:
Germany: Isagi, Raichi, Gagamaru, Igarashi, Teppei, Kurona, Seira, Hiori;
England: Mikage, Chigiri, Nagi, Niou, Keki, Wanma Saramadara, Hiragi, Nishioka;
Italy: Barou, Aiku, Aryu, Niko, Sendo, Fukaku, Tanaka, Shiguma, Ishikari;
France: Itoshi Rin, Tabito, Tokimitsu, Tsurugi, Nanase, Chou, Yuzu, Sadouji, Shidou;
Spain: Bachira, Otoya, Hayate, Darai, Kitsunezato, Wakatsuki, Sokura, Himizu, Haichi
Chapter 155 Spoilers
Now that we are all caught up, let’s dive right into chapter 155. Warning, however, raws for the upcoming chapter are already out so there are confirmed spoilers below, you have been warned.
A lot of major events go down in this next chapter so if you want to wait for the official release to read, this is your final warning! Now then let’s jump into what goes down in chapter 155 of Blue Lock.
Picking up from the last chapter the Blue Lock players who chose Germany are introduced to “the best striker in the world” Noel Noa, and the rest of the Bastard Munich team. We also get to see Ego brag that thanks to Blue Lock’s explosive opening game they have received a lot more funding than expected. Meaning he can start phase 2 on a much better start than planned.
Gagamaru then asks Ego to confirm that instead of going to other countries, the top stars of the mentioned teams are coming to Blue Lock? Ego answers this by straight-faced and simply by saying yes, seeing how he explained that already. Ego then begins to name the stars of each country that are currently in the building alongside them, (these are all twists on real football player names). Starting off with England we have Chris Pine. From Italy, Mac Snuffi. France has, Julian Rocky. Finally Spain’s, Lavigno. As for Germany’s top player, it’s Noel Noa, who we have met already.
With that out of the way, Ego begins to explain how the second phase of Blue Lock will work. First, all the players will train under their “master” and need to be selected as one of the 11 regular members. To do this they must win the recognition of the players from other countries. Now, as to how the selection and games will work, explaining in words will be much more difficult, so here is one of the illustrations from the manga.
With this explained we jump back to the players and their thoughts and we see Isagi mention how excited he is to play against Noel Noa. Claiming that the road to becoming the world’s best is actually in front of him now. However, his thoughts are cut short when Ego adds that he has one more announcement.
He has one more player he wishes to add to the Germany team, someone he came in through a more “backdoor” option. Through this “backdoor” option a monster has been created and thus will now be making his comeback with the other players. A door then begins to open and we see the only survivor of the wildcard program, Kunigami Rensuke. Leaving us on that cliffhanger till next week.
