On the surface, Koudo Ikusei Senior High School is a utopia. The students enjoy an unprecedented amount of freedom, and it is ranked highly in Japan.
However, the reality is less than ideal. Four classes, A through D, are ranked in order of merit, and only the top classes receive favourable treatment.
Kiyotaka Ayanakoji is a student enrolled in Class D, where the worst students are placed. On the surface, he appears as a bland person.
Although he acts like a dumb and boring student, he is raised to be a perfect human with hardcore training and little to no emotions.
After meeting Suzune Horikita and Kikyō Kushida, two other students in his class, Kiyotaka’s situation begins to change. From there, he starts his journey to class A. But will he be able to reach the top?
Episode 10 Recap:
The previous episode begins with Ayanakoji having a casual time with his classmates. However, he senses someone stalking him lately and asks Karuizawa to follow them. Unexpectedly the person following him was not from class C but class A.
On the other hand, Ayanakoji was not the only one being trailed; it seems like Kei was also getting followed by a student from class C. This was expected since Ryuen’s next target is Kei since he believes that Kei is associated with the mastermind.
The big twist came when Chabashira sensei called Ayanakoji to a meeting room. To his surprise, the person waiting for him was none other than his dad. According to his dad, Ayanakoji went against his father’s will and enrolled in this school.
However, he also had help from one of his butlers, who his dad says has taken his own life. The real reason for his father’s visit was to take Ayano back to the white room. Even after getting pressured by his father, he decided to continue his education and not leave the institution.
After getting through with his dad, he realises he has no reason to help class D reach class A and decides to cut off all his relationships with Kei.

What can we expect in the upcoming episode:
It hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it seems Karuizawa has fallen in love with Ayanakoji. However, it looks like Ayanakoji doesn’t realise it yet. Now that he is no longer associated with Kei, she might be in the worst possible situation.
Until now, she did everything because Ayanakoji promised to protect her, but now that he is gone, it is straightforward for Ryuen to break her. In the upcoming episode, we might see a face-off between Kei and Ryuen.
