Dandadan Season 2 has been officially announced, following the broadcast of the Season 1 finale. For those who’ve been following the series closely, this isn’t exactly a surprise considering the events that happened prior to finale premiere.
Season 2 of Dandadan will be released in July 2025. Earlier today, the Season 2 announcement was leaked online, both the promotional video and a key visual made their way across various platforms about nine hours before the finale aired. You can watch the promotional video for season 2 down below:
The finale (Episode 12) wrapped up Season 1 with a mix of tension and setup for the future. Okarun and Gigi stumbled upon a room filled with protective talismans in Gigi’s house, which is clearly hinting at some deeper connection to the supernatural events they’ve been facing.
Meanwhile, Momo took a moment to rest at a hot spring, only to be interrupted by the appearance of a mysterious figure.
The officially released key visual features Gigi at the center, under the gaze of the ominous Jashiki eye. Fans of the manga will recognize some heavy foreshadowing here, as the upcoming arcs are known for their darker and more intense themes.
Dandadan is based on Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga, serialized on Shonen Jump+ since April 2021. The anime adaptation is handled by Science SARU. Dandadan season 1 is now streaming on Crunchyroll. They describe the series as:
When high schooler Momo, from a family of spirit mediums, first meets her classmate Okarun, an occult geek, they argue—Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts. When it turns out both phenomena are real, Momo awakens a hidden power and Okarun gains the power of a curse. Together, they must challenge the paranormal forces threatening their world.
