Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 16 Release Time, Countdown & Preview

Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc is now at its best. The previous episode shows that the fight between upper moon demon, and demon slayers is heating up. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming episode.

Episode 14 Recap

Nezuko returns to her small form after Tanjiro sings lullaby to her. After placing Nezuko carefully in the box, Tanjiro and Tengen face off against the upper moon Daki, and Gyutaro. Tengen used to have nine brothers and sisters, however seven of them died. He and his brother were trained extensively by their father.

Gyutaro’s poison is slowly working on Tengen. Just when it looks like the upper moon demon could win, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Tanjiro enter the battle. Daki is assigned to Inosuke and Zenitsu, while Tanjiro and Tengen fight Gyutaro together.

Episode 16 Synopsis

Entertainment District Arc episode 9 (or season 2 episode 16) is titled “Defeating an upper rank demon”. The official website of the Demon Slayer anime has not released the official synopsis yet, however, from title of the episode, it is clear that Daki and Gyutaro will finally be defeated, and 4 episode long fight will come to an end.

Release Time

Demon Slayer season 2 episode 16 is scheduled to be released on January 30 at 8 AM (PST). The series is available on both Crunchyroll and Funimation platform. Attack on Titan will also release a new episode on Sunday.

Demon Slayer tells the story of a boy, Tanjiro, whose sister Nezuko gets turned into a demon. To find a cure for her sister, Tanjiro joins Demon Slayer corps, He fights demon, and searches for a cure for Nezuko.

Koyoharu Gotouge started writing Demon Slayer manga series in Feb 2016, in Weekly Shonen Jump. He ended the series in May 2020. All the manga chapters are collected into 23 volumes. Ufotable picked up the manga for an anime adaptation. The first season had total of 26 episodes, which aired in April 2019.
